Its Viking time again on the Gold Coast and Short Marine have just taken delivery of a new 2022 Viking Billfish 46, with commissioning and fitting out work to take place over the next few weeks.
This follows the delivery of the ever-impressive Valhalla 37, and this Billfish 46 is one of several Vikings and Valhallas to be delivered into Australia over the next 12 months.
This Billfish 46 sports a factory installed tower by Viking’s affiliated Palm Beach Towers, as well as other Viking factory installed options and Viking custom works. With preliminary local sea trials showing that she is capable of 40 knots plus, and with a most efficient cruise of 30 knots plus, we expect that getting
to and from the fishing grounds will be a large part of the day’s fun.
The Billfish 46’s lines, curves and layout are truly reminiscent of the classic day boat sports fishers of times past, but her contemporary design elements and manufacturing breathe current day technology and high-end performance into her classic look and feel.
In the Australian environment, the Billfish 46 is mission specific as a highly manoeuvrable medium sized game fishing boat, with one of the largest in class cockpit areas and an interior layout suitable for fishing based adventuring in “glamping” style.
