Short Marine

Lady Jack is a beautifully presented Alaska 45 commissioned in 2006, she is a timeless single level cruiser with exceptional sea keeping abilities making her capable of coastal cruising to far North Queensland or simply potting around the Hawkesbury River discovering the various beautiful inlets and bays it has to offer.

Whilst she does have a traditional look she comes with a plethora of modern technology beginning with her Cummins QSB 5.9lt 6 cylinder common rail turbo charged electronic engines rated at 425hp each pushing her along to a top speed around 21 knots or cruising on the plane at 15 – 17 knots, or at a gentler pace of 10 -12 knots sipping only 25 – 30 lts of diesel per hour, very economical for a 45 foot vessel, all ships electrical power is provided by a Cummins Onan genset rated at 8kva or for quieter times in the evening a huge Xantrex 1800 sine wave inverter provides enough power for most items required. Her nav gear has been ungraded to a Raymarine Axion 9’’RVX plotter with Navionics chart ( touch screen ) new autopilot and a new smart craft instrument led screen giving you all your engine data , fuel use, etc.

Below decks you will find excellent accomodation with 2 double cabins and 2 huge bathrooms both with generous sized shower stalls, if you require extra bedding the saloon lounge converts to a massive queen bed with relative ease. Back up stairs a huge U shaped galley is on the port side opposite the helm with plenty of bench space, storage, refrigeration and cooking amenities, the roomy saloon is aft of the galley and features 2 built in sofas an adjustable table, large windows with blinds and excellent all round views, multiple opening windows also provide plenty of fresh air and breeze if needed, for the extremely warm days crank up the air conditioning. Moving aft through the beautiful stainless steel doors and onto the cockpit you will find open spaces and a wonderfull teak deck with an abundance of entertaining space and the bonus of being fully covered by a hard top roof, a generous chest fridge , hot/cold shower, and a sink. She has wide side decks and a large stainless steel rail making trips to the bow safe for all ages.

All in all this Alaska 45 represents some old world charm mixed with modern technology presenting an easy to operate very well maintained boat , low maintenance option for someone who craves the outdoors and has a sense of adventure.
